Dogon Doors In the culture of the Dogon people, wood carving is highly developed. It is not restricted to ceremonial ritual objects but also includes the adornment of everyday tools and implements. The doors of millet granaries were thus decorated and subsequently acquired enhanced significance by being decorated with motifs of ritual origin.
