Statues

colonial_mixed

The Statues of Africa are plentiful & varied both in presentation and use. Each Tribal Village or area will have their own style and expressions. The Use of Statues ranges from Harvests, ceremonies & coming of age ceremonies to the protection and spiritual guidance of those passed. Where possible we have supplied information as to the masks use, but unfortunately, many uses get lost in translation and cultural perspectives. We hope you enjoy viewing our collection and take as much pleasure from their varied & interesting designs as we do.
