We didn’t just find a new country… we found each other.

We both left South Africa looking for opportunity and somehow, thousands of kilometres from home, two South Africans found each other in New Zealand. I suppose that’s the thing about Saffas… no matter where you are in the world, somehow we always seem to find one another.

We fell in love, got married, started a family, and built a life we never imagined.

Then Australia called.

We packed everything we owned, moved across the Tasman, and started again. Today we’re raising three incredible boys who spend most afternoons chasing a soccer ball. Australia has given them opportunities to develop their talent in ways we could only dream of, and watching them grow reminds us every day why we took that leap.

My wife followed her passion for teaching, shaping young minds every day, while together we’ve continued building Inside Africa—not simply as a business, but as a way of keeping our South African roots alive.

Because home isn’t always a place.

Sometimes it’s the people you love, the values you carry, and the community you build wherever life takes you.

Inside Africa is our way of sharing that feeling with other South Africans who now call Australia home.
